Customer Reviews

My kids and I expected to grab ourselves some breakfast and go on about our day like any other restaurant. So relieved that was not our experience. The atmosphere is very much like home, our waitress was the sweetest, the food is AMAZING, and even the other customers (I assume regulars) were very sweet and welcoming. We make our way in your area once a year, and we're already planning on making another stop!!! Thank you for creating such a comfortable and welcoming "home away from home" and our meals were perfection!!!!

Crossroads burger & fries and the brisket platter with a salad & fries were outstanding! Great staff. Super friendly and personable. Answered all of our questions for being first time guests. Reasonable prices. Will definitely support a local business!

This restaurant is a little Appalachian gem. I found it while staying at the Stonewall Resort for a work meeting, and I wanted a steak from outside the resort. It was about 20 minutes away from Stonewall, and I'm glad I went. As an incurable introvert, I avoid new places, but I really needed that steak, so I pushed through the social anxiety of dining alone and went in. The staff were warm and friendly. One of the other patrons told me it is a family-owned restaurant, and it feels that way. The Family Table has a very comfortable, casual atmosphere with basic silverware and plastic tumblers (which I love). It's eclectic, (like the different types of salt and pepper shakers and mismatched coffee mugs... like you're eating at Meemaw's, but not gimmicky, because these folks come by it honestly). It's clean and welcoming, not to mention the food is good. I ordered the ribeye with fries. The steak was delicious. My server checked on me several times, and not in a hovering way. I will eat here again when I'm in the area. Don't let my "price per person" amount fool you. I ordered a 12 oz ribeye, but there were plenty of items (including other steaks) that were in the $20 range. The ribeye was on the menu at $31 and came with 2 sides (November 2025). Have you seen what ribeyes are going for in grocery stores, these days? And the butcher isn't going to cook it for you. I thought the restaurant's price for one of the best steak cuts was reasonable. Come see them. Tell them some random lady (who found comfort in their restaurant while out of her element) sent you.

I ate here for the first time today. Had the pulled pork which was so moist and delicious Mac and cheese that was extra cheesy as I like it a dinner roll that was so soft and fluffy and Cole slaw that had an excellent taste and the sweet tea was perfect. I even ordered a meal to go but I highly recommend this place for any meal. I'll definitely be back to try the other foods, and the price was great.

Want a reasonable priced meal that is great? I highly suggest The Family Table. Went here while on vacation for breakfast and came back for supper since the staff and food were both great! Will definitely plan to come back next time I am in the area!
